Within the framework of The 2027 International Conference on Education, Law and Institutional Adaptation, this symposium is designed to equip educators with practical, research-informed approaches to enhance teaching effectiveness in rapidly evolving educational environments. Contemporary education is undergoing rapid transformation driven by technological advancement, digital learning environments, artificial intelligence, and changing student learning needs. Traditional teacher-centred instructional approaches are increasingly insufficient to prepare students with the critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills required in the twenty-first century. Modern classrooms require educators to adopt innovative, evidence-based teaching strategies that actively engage learners while integrating digital technologies and authentic assessment practices. Furthermore, Education 5.0 emphasises personalised learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, digital literacy, and lifelong learning, placing new expectations on educators to continuously update their pedagogical practices. This symposium responds to these emerging educational challenges by providing practical teaching strategies that improve classroom engagement, promote inclusive learning environments, and enhance teaching effectiveness across diverse educational settings.
The primary goal of this symposium is to empower educators with innovative, evidence-based teaching strategies that enhance student engagement, improve learning outcomes, and foster the development of twenty-first-century competencies in modern classrooms. As education continues to evolve in response to digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), and Education 5.0, educators are required to move beyond traditional lecture-based instruction towards more student-centred, technology-enhanced, and inclusive pedagogical approaches.
This symposium aims to equip participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in implementing active learning, collaborative learning, flipped classrooms, problem-based learning, authentic assessment, and AI-assisted teaching strategies across diverse educational settings. Participants will explore effective methods for integrating digital technologies and generative AI tools into lesson planning, classroom management, assessment, and personalised learning while maintaining ethical and responsible AI practices.
In addition, the symposium seeks to strengthen educators' instructional design capabilities by promoting critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and lifelong learning among students. Through interactive discussions, practical demonstrations, case studies, and collaborative activities, participants will develop confidence in redesigning their teaching practices to meet the needs of diverse learners. Ultimately, the symposium aspires to contribute to educational excellence by supporting continuous professional development, enhancing teaching quality, and advancing Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) through innovative and future-ready teaching practices.
This symposium is designed for university lecturers, teacher educators, school teachers, postgraduate students, educational researchers, instructional designers, curriculum developers, educational leaders, and professionals interested in enhancing teaching effectiveness in contemporary learning environments. Participants will explore current trends and best practices in modern pedagogy, including student-centred learning, active learning, collaborative teaching strategies, blended and hybrid learning, formative assessment, and the integration of artificial intelligence into teaching and learning.
The symposium combines expert presentations, interactive discussions, collaborative activities, lesson redesign exercises, and practical demonstrations of digital and AI-powered educational tools. Participants will gain practical strategies that can be immediately applied within their own classrooms to improve student engagement, motivation, critical thinking, and learning achievement. No advanced technical expertise is required, making the symposium suitable for educators from various disciplines and educational levels who are committed to improving teaching quality and preparing students for the demands of the digital era.
Accepted papers of the symposium will be published in Lecture Notes in Education Psychology and Public Media (Print ISSN 2753-7048), and will be submitted to Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI), Crossref, CNKI, Portico, Google Scholar and other databases for indexing. The situation may be affected by factors among databases like processing time, workflow, policy, etc.
